Live: A1 lane closed after lorry hits central reservation and overturns

There is slow traffic and queues on the A1 (M) following a serious lorry crash. The motorway was closed southbound from junction 45 for Boston Spa to junction 44 for the A64 (York/Tadcaster) for several hours after the crash in the early hours of this morning. Northbound, one lane was closed from junction 44 (A64/York/Tadcaster) to junction 45 the A659 Wattlesyke (Boston Spa).

The crash, first reported at 4:53am on Thursday, has caused long delays in the area.
