Live updates as major A road blocked with big queues after serious crash

The A638 Chancery Road in Ossett is currently blocked by queuing traffic, due to an overturned lorry. The accident, which happened on the B6128 Leeds Road, has caused severe congestion, with Google traffic maps showing over a mile of queues leading to the roundabout at Leeds Road. The A638 Chancery Road was closed in both directions for a time, but the eastbound stretch has since reopened after vehicle recovery took place.

West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the lorry driver sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
