Lorry overturned and shed its load near Belfry Golf Club
A lorry transporting gravel overturned after an accident. Warwickshire’s operational patrol unit (OPU) were called out to the A446 between the Belfry Golf Club and Bassetts Pole at lunchtime on Friday, January 14, officers have revealed. The driver managed to escape with minor injuries and only sustained a few cuts and bruises.

The lorry had shed its gravel and the road had to be temporarily closed.
A local garage helped with the recovery of the vehicle and clear the road so it could re-open.
OPU Warwickshire shared the news on their Facebook page and said: “A massive thank you to our recovery agent Fillongley Garage who attended and recovered the vehicle and assisted in clearing the gravel off the road so we could get the road back open.”
