Dramatic pictures show huge wreckage caused by horror lorry crash

This is the devastation caused by an early morning two-lorry crash on the A635 Barnsley Road. South Yorkshire Police (SYP) have confirmed no serious injuries have been reported as a result of the crash which was first reported at 3.40am. The road is shut at the time of writing between the A1 (M) junction 37, to A635 Marr to Church Lane.

Follow the latest updates on this developing story by clicking here A spokesperson for SYP said: “We received a report just before 3am this morning (1 February). It was reported that two lorries had collided on Barnsley Road.

There is not believed to be any serious injuries. “The road is closed between Jct A635 Barnsley Road to the top of A1M J37 and up to Church Lane.” Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes where possible while the road remains closed.
