Yorkshire women ‘gutted’ as ‘fit felon’ arrested and put into custody

Sorry ladies, he’s back behind bars. Wanted man Jonathan Cahill was dubbed a ‘fit felon’ by an army of admirers when West Yorkshire Police issued an appeal for him last week. Cahill, 37, said to be 6ft tall and of medium build, was wanted on recall to prison for breaching his bail conditions.

He had served part of a sentence for burglary and was thought to be in the Wakefield area. For more news and appeals from West Yorkshire Police, click here Admirers homed in on his looks after police published his mugshot, with one saying: “What’s his crime breaking hearts or houses?”

Today West Yorkshire Police said Cahill had now been arrested and is in custody. That news prompted another round of wisecracks on Facebook.
