27ft rocket spotted on back of a truck in Warwickshire

Conversation entered the space age when a huge rocket was seen in transit in a Warwickshire town. People in Kenilworth were left puzzled and perplexed by the stratospheric sight of a rocket being ferried on the back of a truck. But the hugely convincing model was nothing more than a lavish learning aid for a science lesson at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form.

: Kenilworth news “A super exciting day when the British Starchaser Team came into school with their Skybolt Rocket,” the school revealed in a post on its Facebook page. “Year 7s & 8 got the opportunity to view the rocket up close and find out what the team were trying to achieve.

“They also took part in a workshop focusing on the engineering and science behind developing a privately owned rocket with the aim of venturing into the space tourism industry.” The school’s admission came after a picture of the rocket attracted dozens of comments on the Kenilworth Vibes Facebook page. “Not something you expect to see around Kenilworth,” Tim Daffron, the post’s author said. “Particularly concerning given the issues in the East.”

Many of the people on the group were, however, aware of the rocket’s intended destination.
