Match made in heaven for Hiab and Monarch Metals

Scrap metal collection firm, Monarch Metals Ltd, has invested in two brand-new pieces of kit from world leading provider of on-road load handling equipment, Hiab, following a successful period of growth. The company, which has sites in both Oldham and Rochdale, invested in a MULTILIFT XR7S hookloader fitted to a DAF LF truck and a MULTLILIFT Ultima 24S hookloader fitted to a DAF CF truck. The new equipment will be used by Monarch Metals, which was established in 1985, to transport and manage scrap metal on site and will join its existing fleet of vehicles which already includes a Hiab XR7S hookloader.

Jason Watson, operations director at Monarch Metals, commented: “We made our first purchase from Hiab in 2019 and felt the benefits immediately. Reliable, high-quality and unparalleled performance meant that as soon as we needed to expand our fleet Hiab was our go-to option. “Hiab deem the MULTILIFT XR7S ‘the giant of small hooklifts’ and we couldn’t agree more.

Our experience has been nothing but positive; it offers great lifting performance, easy control and smooth handling. Meanwhile, the MULTILIFT Ultima 24S hooklift takes our operation to another level with its high-performance technology and unparalleled capabilities.” “Our team work confidently and efficiently with all three pieces of equipment we have and there’s no doubt they’ve been part of our success, allowing us to expand our operation and meet increased demand to the high standard we pride ourselves on.”

Dek Butler, MULTILIFT specialist for Hiab UK added: “It’s been fantastic to work with Jason and the Monarch Metals team again to help them find the best equipment for their rapidly expanding business. “The MULTILIFT range really is next generation in regards to its technology. With features such as the Ultima’s Sequence Performance(TM) technology and FlexControl(TM) options, ensuring ease, accuracy and efficiency on every job.

We’re delighted Monarch Metals are benefitting from such features and using the equipment to help accelerate their business.” Hiab’s Sequence Performance(TM) technology enables automatic sequence control via a single lever movement for loading, unloading and tipping, while FlexControl(TM) allows Hiab customers to customise the controls to suit their needs. Paying only for what they need, when they need it, the modular system makes retrofitting easy.

Control options include the possibility to have outside, in-cab, radio remote controls, or a customised combination.

The MULTILIFT XR7S and Ultima form part of Hiab’s wider MULTILIFT range which features a range of pioneering load handling solutions.
