The air ambulance was dispatched to the scene

Emergency services took to social media to announce that traffic had been stopped on the approach to the scene of the incident shortly after 1pm on Tuesday, March 1. Traffic approaching the area was redirected via the A1079 and A614 before rejoining the M62 at junction 37. Humberside Police have confirmed the incident was a single vehicle collision and that one person was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

An air ambulance crew had been dispatched to the scene and the westbound carriageway was closed to all traffic for a short time while emergency services carried out their duties.
