Motorist airlifted to hospital after Surrey crash

A motorist was airlifted to hospital after a serious crash in Surrey. Police and paramedics were called to the B388 Thorpe Bypass near Thorpe after a collision between a grey Volvo car and a purple Yamaha motorcycle. The air ambulance also attended and the man, who is in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Surrey Police closed the road to traffic following the incident. The crash took place at around 5.10pm on Monday, April 11. Surrey Police is urging anyone with information to contact the force. : Person injured after lorry and car motorway crash

A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “Were you in the area at the time? We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen either vehicle prior to the collision to please get in touch. We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed a group of motorcyclists driving in the area at a similar time.
