Truck smashes into tree leaving it hanging over railway line
TRAIN services were disrupted after a recovery truck crashed into a tree which left it hanging over a railway line at Dewsbury. A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We received at 6.09pm today to Ravesthorpe Road in Dewsbury to a report of a recovery truck which was in collision with a tree. “It was reported that the tree was then hanging over the railway line.
“The driver, who got out of the vehicle, suffered a head injury and was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.” Northern tweeted: “Due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge near the railway, services are being disrupted in the West Yorkshire region across various stations. “Please check your journey ahead of travel as delays are expected.”
The Telegraph and Argus has contacted West Yorkshire Police for a comment.
