Man, 54, arrested after multiple police cars descend on road
A man has been arrested after multiple police units rushed to a road in Halstead yesterday evening (May 6). Police were called to Ramsey Road in Halstead shortly before 7.30pm yesterday evening, following reports of a disturbance. Essex Police has now confirmed that a 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage, obstructing a police officer and an offence under the public order act.
The man is currently in custody. A photo from the incident shows at least three police vehicles and several officers standing in the road. A resident said there were 6 cars, 1 truck and 1 van in attendance.
