Pallet-Track golfers tee off to raise funds for children’s charity Believe to Achieve

Nearly 50 golfers teed off for a great cause and raised GBP5,100 for the children’s charity Believe to Achieve at Wolverhampton logistics firm Pallet-Track’s annual golf day. The 16th staging of the event took place at Morley Hayes Golf Club in Derbyshire on Thursday, May 26. The day featured 48 golfers from 13 teams, made up of colleagues from Pallet-Track’s headquarters, its network members and partner organisations. Taking the honours on the day were Wherever the Action Is, with golfers Syed Ziaullah, Ashley Grace, Martin Nash and Gerald Bygraves from Northampton and Milton Keynes member Action Express. This year’s runners-up were Southern Savilles and its golfers Harry Knight, Gary Knight, Toby Boyd and Haydn Clarke from Horley Road Services in Redhill.
As with all its fundraising activities in 2022, the day was held in support of Pallet-Track’s nominated charity, Believe to Achieve.

Believe to Achieve was founded in 2001 in Wolverhampton by George Medal holder, Lisa Potts, to support vulnerable children and their families. Since then, it has supported thousands of families through challenging circumstances, from young children with mental health issues to those involved with gang culture. Caroline Green, chief executive of Pallet-Track, said:

“Believe to Achieve does an incredible job in helping families and young children. Thanks to referrals from schools, healthcare and social workers, the charity’s 50-plus counsellors use different forms of therapy to support children aged five to 15 with early intervention. We were delighted to be able to donate all the money raised from the day and we know it will make a real difference to the lives of young people supported by Believe to Achieve. This is our first large-scale fundraiser of the year for Believe to Achieve, with more to come thanks to our next event, our charity bike ride.”
