The Surrey garden centre with fantastic gelato ice cream truck
With the warmer weather finally here, many of us have been heading to our local garden centre to pick up colourful plants and flowers to spruce up our neighbourhoods. Surrey is home to lots of great garden centres, and one certainly stands out from the crowd. Located outside the entrance to Longacres in Bagshot is a superb gelato truck.
Shoppers young and old absolutely love the parlour, and you’ll often see a queue outside it. Situated in the garden centre car park along A30 London Road, Amore Gelato offers shoppers the most delicious range of iced desserts. : Surrey garden centre cafe has the most incredible ‘create your own’ full English breakfast
Freshly made by hand, the thick and creamy scoops come in a fantastic range of flavours. These include strawberries and cream, chocolate chip, pistachio, bubble gum, cookies and cream, salted caramel, chocolate, vanilla and banana. There is also a superb vegan range too with sorbets in summer fruit, strawberry, lemon and mango flavours. The entire collection can be served in cute takeaway pots or in a crispy cone, and the van has a five star hygiene rating too.

Available in small (GBP3.20), medium (GBP4.20) or large (GBP5.40) sizes, customers can upgrade their treat with a ‘posh cone’ and a flake if they fancy.
Gelato contains 50% less fat and less calories than normal ice cream, without compromising its incredible creamy taste. It is stored and served at a slightly higher temperature, as commercial brands add air to their ice cream to double the quantity, meaning it’s not as thick as gelato. As well single portions, the truck is able to provide large tubs of your favourite flavour to take home, which can hold for an hour (without melting).
However, if you’re desperate for a Mr Whippy, shoppers can also get these from Amore Gelato too, with a Cadbury 99 Flake of course – they are priced from GBP2.50.
Hot chocolate, water and cans of fizzy are also on the menu.
