Walker was pronounced dead on Wednesday after he was struck by a vehicle while he was working on a pickup in front of his home in Holtsville, Long Island
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Holtsville.
Robert Kehlenbeck, 46, of Selden, and Ryan Walker, 37, were working on a 1989 F-150 pickup truck parked outside of Walker’s home on Express Drive South in Holtsville, when police say they were struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle then fled eastbound on Express Drive South. Express Drive South is a two-lane frontage road next to the Long Island Expressway near Ocean Avenue.

Kehlenbeck and Walker were rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital where Walker was declared dead.
Kehlenbeck was pronounced dead Saturday morning, police said.
Walker has a 13-year-old son, and lives with his parents, who were too distraught to speak with reporters, NBC4 reported.
‘They are shocked, they don’t want to talk to nobody, they just want answers,’ Kim Miller, who was inside the home at the time of the crash, told NBC.
‘We saw Robert in front of the truck, we didn’t see Ryan right away.
The driver took off, and cops want to find him.’
