Logico expert joins prestigious Transport Committee

The managing director of award-winning transport and compliance business, Logico, has been announced as the new Transport Committee Chair of the British Aggregates Association. Lisa Fleming, who launched Logico in 2019, was only the third woman to have gained DVSA Earned Recognition Status and is widely recognised as one of the leading female figures in the transport industry, therefore the appointment is a major boost for the association. The British Aggregates Association was formed in 1999 and is now firmly established as the voice of the UK’s independent SME quarry operators. The association provides essential support and advice in all health and safety, planning, transport, environmental, technical and regulatory issues; whilst ensuring that the voice of the independent sector is heard at all levels of the UK administrations.

In her role as Transport Committee Chair, Lisa will be utilising her 16 years in the transport industry and providing expert advice and guidance on transport issues, challenges and legislation along with contributing to the associations monthly transport newsletter. Her specialist knowledge will be invaluable to the group’s members and help to keep transport operations updated. Based in Newton Aycliffe Business Park, Logico have experienced rapid growth during their three years in business, recently moving to larger premises to expand their training department. They now consist of a team of six and provide transport compliance and training for businesses across the UK. Recently being named as a shortlisted business in the Make Your Mark Awards in the Small Business of the Year category, the company are looking at further investment in the business in the coming months and have their eyes firmly set on future growth. On her appointment, Lisa commented:

“I’m a great supporter of the transport industry and am therefore delighted to be named as the Transport Committee Chair, it’s a great privilege and I’m hoping to pass on my knowledge and expertise to all the members.

The last two years has seen some of the most challenging times for the industry and many businesses need our support more than ever.  In my role, I’m looking forward to helping businesses with their compliance, public inquiry support and general transport queries.

The Logico team have worked extremely hard to secure our place as a first-class transport compliance provider, my appointment to the association is recognition of that and I look forward to getting started.”
