East Lothian Council has appointed Blackburn-based Vision Techniques to install a range of safety equipment to its latest addition of six new Dennis RCV vehicles. The new project sees Vision Techniques install its VT Elite Record 5 live camera system with event button and night sight cameras, including auto braking radar and a VT rear LED warning signage. The cameras are designed in modular format, allowing them to be integrated into safety systems and provide increased utility through additional features such as infrared vision, which eliminates blind spots.
Bruce Moffat, Service Manager and East Lothian Council, said:
“The team at Vision Techniques is a trusted partner due to innovative products they design and install.
Their systems are an integral part of our drive to reduce risk and keep our people and the public safe.
As a local authority, we are incredibly focussed on road safety, and using these products will help us achieve our objectives.”
Marshall Fleming, Vision Techniques Regional Sales Manager, added:
“We’re proud to continue our long relationships with East Lothian Council by providing the best safety features available, helping them drastically reduce the risk of accidents.”
