Man dies of injuries after collision in Surrey

Police have today (July 11) said a man who was involved in a collision last week has died of his injuries. At around 6.15am on Friday (July 8), officers received reports of a two-vehicle collision on Thorpe Road, Chertsey. The collision happened on the bridge over the M3 between Twynersh roundabout on Staines Road and Mill Lane.

It involved a Mercedes and a HGV. The 61-year-old driver of the Mercedes was taken to hospital in a critical condition. He has since died of his injuries, Surrey Police has now confirmed.
