Man in 50s found dead near East Surrey Hospital
Police have said a man has died after they were called to reports of a body found near a major Surrey hospital. Officers were called to Redhill yesterday (July 26) at 5.15pm after a man’s body was discovered in Three Arch Road in Redhill, close to East Surrey Hospital. A man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene and, while an investigation into his death has now begun, police do not believe the death is suspicious.
Officers first alerted residents they were on the scene just before 7pm via their Reigate and Banstead Police Beat Facebook page, with confirmation of the death at 11.51pm. They wrote: “At around 5.15pm this afternoon (26 July) officers were called to Three Arch Road in Redhill following a report of the discovery of a man’s body. A man in his 50s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

As well as an A and E department the hospital contains a number of specialist services for cardiology, neurology and dementia.
