Man dies after lorry overturns on A13 near Rainham
A man has died after a lorry overturned on the A13 near Rainham this morning (Thursday, August 25). The man, in his 50s, was driving the HGV when it overturned on the eastbound carriageway of the A13 in the early hours of the morning. The Metropolitan Police were called at 6.09am and found the overturned vehicle, at Ferry Lane Interchange.
In a statement, the Met Police said: “Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade. “A man aged in his 50s, who was driving the lorry, was pronounced dead at the scene. Offices are in the process of informing his next of kin.

Drivers are encouraged to find an alternative route. Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1340/25Aug.” The London Ambulance Service has also been contacted for a statement about this incident.
