North East transport champion Logico shortlisted for prestigious industry award

The Managing Director of Newton Aycliffe-based transport consultancy, Logico, is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious industry award. Lisa Fleming, who launched the business in 2019, has been a pioneering force within the industry for many years, using her knowledge and experience to promote the importance of women in the sector whilst growing the rapidly expanding business over the last three years. Logico have gone from strength to strength under Lisa’s leadership and guidance, growing from an initial team of two, to now employing eight members of staff whilst securing large national contracts with their clients.

The company offer a comprehensive range of transport compliance and training services, having moved into larger premises earlier this year to increase their training programme. The awards are organised by Logistics UK, one of biggest business groups in the UK representing the entire transport industry, and are a highlight in the transport industry calendar, with Lisa being shortlisted in the ‘Logistics Leader of the Year’ category.   Being named as a shortlist is recognition of the hard work and dedication that Lisa has shown and the support she gives to the sector.  Having recently being named as Transport Committee Chair of the British Aggregates Association, Lisa is helping share her industry knowledge to the future general of transport specialists.

On being named as a shortlisted finalist, Lisa was delighted with the news, commenting:

“To be recognised in such prestigious awards and recognised by my peers is a huge achievement and something I’m extremely proud of. I would not be in this position, however, without the support of my fantastic team. I’m lucky to have a team that are all passionate about the industry and delivering first-class service to our clients. This commitment has been proven due to the ongoing success and growth of the business. The transport sector, as with many industries, are going through a challenging time at the moment therefore it’s important for us as a business to be there for our clients and to ensure they remain compliant, keeping themselves, staff and road users safe.

I’m looking forward to the awards night in December and whatever the result, getting together with transport industry professionals to celebrate everybody’s achievement.”
