Relyon Services stays on guard thanks to speedy new vehicle delivery from Van Sales UK
Fast-growing Relyon Services needed a replacement quickly when one of its vans was written off in an accident. Supplier Van Sales UK stepped up with a ‘brilliant’ response to provide a vehicle in double-quick time. Managing Director Daniel Boyle recalled:
“We’re expanding all the time and our vans are worked extremely hard to keep up with demand.
So when one was damaged beyond repair we needed to replace it as fast as possible. A friend recommended Van Sales UK so I contacted them, and was immediately impressed with the way they understood my urgency. They were able to source the exact vehicle I wanted, and the whole process from initial inquiry to delivery of the van to our Bristol headquarters happened within a month.
By contrast, we’ve had three vans on order from another supplier since last November and are still waiting.”
Relyon Services provides a range of guarding, key-holding, alarm response, cleaning and facilities management services, looking after around 3,500 buildings across the South West of England and South Wales. National coverage is also available, through partnerships with several other regional contractors. The company runs a fleet of 10 vans, most of which are double-shifted – they are on the road for an average of 14 hours every day, covering 100,000 miles per year and are typically serviced monthly.
Mr Boyle said:
“We’ve tried van models by several manufacturers but found the Fiat Fiorino to offer the best combination of reliability and cost-effective operation. So I was pleased when Van Sales UK said they could supply what we were looking for at short notice. The whole acquisition process was smooth and simple, with everything wrapped up in just a few phone calls and emails.
They kept me fully informed on progress throughout and stuck to all their promises – the service was brilliant.”
Relyon’s new vehicle is a Fiorino 1.3 MultiJet II with 80hp diesel engine, which offers combined cycle fuel economy of up to 57.6 mpg and meets Euro 6d emissions limits. It is already hard at work with the company’s Relyon Guarding division. Van Sales UK, a division of parent company Vanaways, is an internet-based business.
With no shiny showroom or yard full of vans waiting to be sold, overheads are kept to a minimum. Its sales experts work over phone and email networks, taking inquiries and orders and matching customers up with their perfect vehicle selections. The company has been trading since 2017 and now supplies an average of 250 vans per month to customers across Britain.
Director Chris Jakeways said:
“We can source any vehicle a customer wants, but for many people these days the brand of their new van is not a primary concern – especially as, under the skin, in some cases two or even three models from different manufacturers can be nearly identical.
What’s more important is to make the process of getting that new van on the road as painless as possible.
That’s where we score, by cutting the number of steps a vehicle takes between rolling off the production line and arriving at the customer’s premises, and by slashing time-consuming paperwork.”
