Live M25 updates following multiple crashes and vehicle fires

There are delays on the M25 today (October 8) in both directions due to numerous crashes and vehicle fires. A multi-vehicle crash, a vehicle fire and a separate crash on the same stretch took place between 10.15am and 10.20am. Further accidents have been reported since, as well as earlier accidents being cleared.

There have been multiple lane closures as well as traffic being held temporarily throughout the day. Earlier, there were lanes blocked on the M25 clockwise between Junction 10 A3 (Wisley Interchange) and Junction 11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey) due to the multi-vehicle accident. Anticlockwise after Junction 10 A3 (Wisley Interchange), traffic was being held due to a vehicle fire.
