M25 updates following multiple crashes and vehicle fires

There were delays on the M25 on October 8 in both directions due to numerous crashes and vehicle fires. A multi-vehicle crash, a vehicle fire and a separate crash on the same stretch took place between 10.15am and 10.20am. Further accidents were reported after this.

There were multiple lane closures and traffic was temporarily held throughout the day. There were lanes blocked on the M25 clockwise between Junction 10 A3 (Wisley Interchange) and Junction 11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey) due to a multi-vehicle accident. Anticlockwise after Junction 10 A3 (Wisley Interchange), traffic was being held due to a vehicle fire.
