Parents rush to Sainsbury’s as up to half price toy sale begins

The Sainsbury’s up to half price toy sale has had parents rushing to stores eager to pick up some of the bargains on offer. We reported last week the event is always a big hit with families and features main brands including Lego, Barbie, Paw Patrol and more. The retailer always remains tight lipped over the dates of the sale, but it started in stores today and is expected to run until October 18.

Sale items include the likes of the Cocomelon Kitchen reduced to GBP30, Barbie Space Discovery Doll down to GBP27.50, the Jurassic World Super Colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex down to GBP40 and the Peppa Pig Tea Set and Serving Trolley reduced to GBP23.

Shoppers have been quick to comment on the reductions, which are in store only.

“Looks like I will be going there today,” said one. “Well I know where a lot of my money will be going,” said another. Some suggested that the reductions aren’t as good as previous years, saying they’ve seen other retailers selling products for the lower prices. But a quick check by our Manchester Family showed many of the prices are in fact the cheapest around.

The Barbie Space Discovery Doll for instance is just shy of GBP50 at other places and the Jurassic World Super Colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex is GBP59.99 at Smyths and Amazon.
