Audi driver smashes car into stationary vehicles after ‘two glasses of wine’

A driver crashed into two stationary vehicles outside a restaurant near Bury. Police were called to the scene on Saturday (December 31) to find the Audi had crashed on New Road in Radcliffe. Police said that officers attended, where the driver told them they had had drunk ‘two glasses of wine’ before getting behind the wheel and crashing on the main road, outside the Armaan Indian restaurant.

Greater Manchester Police shared images of the damaged Audi after the crash before it was later transported away on the back of a recovery truck. No further details about the incident or any arrests made were given.

The Audi was later transported away on the back of a recovery truck.

Greater Manchester Police’s Bury page wrote: “Going out tonight? Think about the consequences of driving under the influence of drink/drugs! “Pilkington Park and Town Centre Neighbourhood Officers attended this RTC where the driver had two glasses of wine and then drove into the back of two stationary vehicles.”
