Big queues as families see the Coca-Cola Christmas truck in Yorkshire
Hundreds of people braved the cold to get a glimpse of the Coca-Cola Christmas truck as it arrived in Bradford. There was a large queue in the Morrisons supermarket car park at Enterprise 5 off Bradford Road, Idle, on Saturday morning. Cans of Coca-Cola were handed out and there was a chance for an ‘elfie selfie’ and to grab some festive nibbles.
Visitors had their photos taken next to the bright red truck. Among those waiting in the queue was Daniel Storton who was with his wife Siobhan and their two children, Aria, three, and Ena, one. Daniel, from Eccleshill, Bradford said they were hoping to make some ‘festive memories’ with their children.
Lee McLoughlin and son Leon, seven, from Fagley, Bradford, said they had seen the Coca-Cola advert on TV and wanted to see the truck for themselves.
“He hasn’t stopped singing the song,” said Lee.
Several people told YorkshireLive that they were cutting back on their spending this year due to the cost of living crisis which has seen energy and food bills go up.
