Delays easing after M25 crash
Delays are easing following a crash on the M25 motorway today (Friday, December 9). Two lanes were shut on the anti-clockwise carriageway between Junction 12 and Junction 10. A number of vehicles were reported to be involved.
Lanes were closed and traffic was further delayed due to a broken down vehicle. Inrix, the traffic data company, said: “Queueing traffic due to earlier broken down lorry on M25 anticlockwise at J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange). Congestion to J13 (Staines) as well as routes through Chertsey, Weybridge and Byfleet.
All lanes have been re-opened.” Read More: 24-hour snow and ice warning issued for Surrey A National Highways spokesperson said: “There are long delays of 60 minutes on the M25 in Surrey, anti-clockwise between J12 and J10 following a multi-vehicle collision between J11 and J10 closing lanes 1 and 2 of 4.
The incident has now cleared however there is a broken down vehicle stranded in the same location.
Traffic is currently running in lanes 3 and 4.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey.”
