Mouse scurries across Woking Victoria Place’s food court floor
A shopper in Woking’s Victoria Place expressed their concerns over hygiene safety after they said they saw a mouse running through the food court. The person, who wished to remain anonymous, caught the incident on video. The shopper said they did not want to get anyone into trouble but admitted: “It’s scary that something so filthy and unhygienic is around [in the shopping centre].” They told SurreyLive that they were in the venue on Saturday (November 26) during early evening with their partner to see the centre’s Christmas lights.
In the short video taken by the shopper, a dark-coloured mouse can be seen in the distance against a glass wall. The camera then zooms in with the mouse on its hind legs before it runs off to its right along the centre’s pink floor tiles. The rodent heads in the direction of Chopstix Noodles Bar restaurant, which appears to be closed, before disappearing as the footage then pans around to show a McDonald’s sign. The shopper said they were unsure if any other customers had seen the mouse but noted that shopping centre cleaners were also in the vicinity at the time. Victoria Place was contacted but declined to comment.
