The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck arrives in Manchester
It’s finally here – the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck has made its stop in Manchester When the upbeat tune ‘Holidays Are Coming’ blares out the speakers it can only mean one thing – the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck is back in town. While most of us will remember the first time the iconic Coco-Cola truck graced our tv screens back in 1995 – a fleet of twinkling trucks driving through a snowy landscape – nowadays fans can get closer to the magic, as trucks head up and down the country on a annual tour.
And, as part of ‘The Magic of Giving’ Christmas campaign, Coca-Cola’s red ruck stopped off at ASDA Sportcity this morning (December 2). This year’s ‘winter market’ setting featured festive food huts serving up seasonal tastes, an ‘elfie selfie’ picture station, QR codes with access to interactive games and the chance to purchase a personalised your own personalised Coca-Cola bottle. Supporting FairShare – the UK’s biggest charity fighting hunger and food waste – every visit will also count towards supporting those experiencing food poverty.
Open until 8pm tonight, the famous truck will next move on to Dublin on December 8 and Belfast on December 16.
