CCTV shows suspect truck after ‘lowlifes’ raid Exhall family business
‘Lowlife’ thieves stole thousands of pounds worth of goods and caused extensive damage to a Bedworth family-run business. The owners of the firm, who did not want to be identified for fear of reprisals, said the raid at their premises in Exhall had caused both ‘financial and emotional distress’. They have shared on Facebook CCTV footage of a Ford Transit Tipper truck they believe was used by the gang.
It was caught on camera on the same day as the break-in on Sunday, January 8. They hope someone can help identify it to help police with their investigation. “Our unit was broken into and commercial pipe work and tools stolen copper and they have also caused damage to the building but more extensively to the offices inside,” said one of the owners. “Whilst we do have footage of the break in, we would like to know if anyone has any footage around the area of a suspect white flatbed truck to try and locate these 4/5 lowlifes that have caused financial and emotional distress to a local family business.” They went on: “The more people that share or see our post, the more someone recognises the van from around the time of the break in and comes forward with information for the police to work with, that’s what we hope.” A Warwickshire Police spokesman urged anyone with information to contact officers. “We received a report that a business premises in Crondal Road had been broken into at some point on January 8,” the spokesman said.
Some of the damage caused to the inside of the building following the break in, which has cost thousands of pounds in stolen items and repairs
“Metal and tools were stolen and damage caused.
