Exact date Sheffield drivers will start facing Clean Air Zone charges
Sheffield’s new Clean Air Zone (CAZ) is set to come into force in the city in a matter of weeks. The new CAZ will not apply to private vehicles or motorcycles, but could see many of the city’s most polluting HGVs, LGVs, buses and taxis charged. CAZs are already operating along the West Yorkshire/Lancashire border but there is not yet one in force in Sheffield.
Now, Sheffield City Council has announced it will be in place from February 27, meaning vehicles can be charged from this point onwards.
