Attempted murder charge after hit and run crash outside Essex train station
A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car outside an Essex train station this weekend. Officers from Essex Police and the British Transport Police were called to Radford Way in Billericay, near to the train station, shortly before 1.30am on March 18.
On arrival, they found a man had been hit by a car, and he was rushed straight to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Following enquiries, a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection to the incident.
Joshua Lloyd, 27, of Oak Green, Billericay, appeared at Southend Magistrates this morning (March 20) charged with attempted murder and taking without consent. He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance.

Detectives are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened to come forward and assist the investigation. In particular, they are urging taxi drivers who will have been at the taxi rank at the time and in the nearby area to double check their dash cam footage around this time.
