Gordon Ramsay says filming new series was ‘utter s***show’

Gordon Ramsay has revealed that filming one episode of Future Food Stars was “an utter sh**show” as the programme is set to make a return. The Cornwall-residing Michelin starred chef is continuing his mission to find the country’s most exciting and innovative new food and drink business.

56-year-old Gordon has hand-picked 12 of the UK’s best up-and-coming food and drink entrepreneurs, who will compete against each other to win his life-changing £150,000 investment, straight from his own pocket. To be in with the chance of winning the staggering investment, the contestants will need to show Gordon that they have what it takes to work with him.

The next eight weeks will see Gordon’s latest contenders face a series of relentless and challenging tasks that have been designed by the man himself to test their character and showcase their business skills. He’s not on the search for his next head chef, he needs someone who he can partner up with.

Ahead of the next series starting, Gordon has teased that his next bunch of contenders will visit “more beautiful locations from across the UK” as “really interesting special guests” make an appearance on the show, waiting for the potential stars to impress them. But not everything will be jaw-dropping scenery and famous faces.

The first episode will make for some incredibly stressful viewing, as Gordon had to stop some dishes from being served to VIP guests in Scotland. “The first banquet was an utter sh**show!” he said.

“Messy tables, packing boxes every where, raw food! It was a pretty bad start, and I was bloody disappointed, things really could only get better after that!”

Gordon also revealed where Future Food Stars was filmed, with his budding business partners starting off in his homeland of Scotland before stopping off in Gateshead, Manchester, Henley, Oxford, and Wales. Unfortuantely, by the sounds of it, there will be no stops in Gordon’s current home of Cornwall, or anywhere in the South West, for that matter.

The dad-of-five, wife Tana, and their brood have lived in the West Country for several years now, having owned a number of homes in Cornwall. Earlier this month, Gordon bestowed high praise upon new Italian-inspired restaurant and wine bar ONDA in Wadebridge.

Shortly after the new eatery opened its doors a few weeks ago, Gordon stopped by and encouraged others to do the same. “Wadebridge’s best new secret @onda.wadebridge congrats @chefbenambridge87 delicious food, warm very friendly front of house, everything you love from your local restaurant.” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of him with Ben Ambridge and head chef Emily Hunt.
