Live: M5 traffic chaos in Bristol after crash

All traffic was temporarily held following a collision near Bristol. The incident reportedly happened sometime before 12.30pm.

The affected area stretches between J18 M49 and J17 A4018 on the northbound carriageway. Traffic cameras in the area show traffic is not moving.

At this time it is unclear how many vehicles are involved in the incident and if anyone has been hurt. Avon and Somerset Police have been contacted for comment.

The crash has since cleared, but heavy traffic remains in the area.
