Emergency services were called to the incident – where a car collided with a lorry and the central reservation – at around 5.50 am.

The crash was just prior to the motorway’s junction 49 (Dishforth), and closed two of the road’s three lanes for over two hours as the scene was cleared.

Thankfully, no one involved in the incident was seriously hurt.
