Man dies after fatal Northamptonshire crash in the early hours of …

A man has died after a fatal Northamptonshire crash in the early hours of Sunday (March 26) morning. Northamptonshire Police[1] are appealing for witnesses following the road traffic collision on the A361.

The incident took place at about 2.20am on the A361 between Byfield and Charwelton, when a car and pedestrian were in collision. The pedestrian, a man in his 30s from Daventry[2], died at the scene.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the collision.

“Anyone with information is asked to email [email protected] or call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615, or Northamptonshire Police[4] on 101. Incident number: 23000182349.”

At the time of the incident, Northants Serious Collision Investigation Unit tweeted that the crash featured a white Ford van. They posted: “#WitnessAppeal following a #fatal collision on the #A361 between #Byfield & #Charwelton at approx 02:15 hrs Sunday 26th March 2023.

“The #collision involved a white Ford van and a pedestrian. #Witness? #DashCam? #CCTV? Call or email Drivewatch on 0800 174615. Inc 30 refers.”
