National company reveals plans for branch at Bradford industrial estate
John Davidson Pipes have submitted a planning application to open a new storage and distribution centre on the Euroway Industrial Estate, on a site occupied by Ryder truck rental until last year.
The company specialises in drainage products, such as pipes and gutters, and has branches across the country, the closest being in Skipton.
The application, to change the use of the building from its commercial use to a distribution centre, has recently been submitted to Bradford Council.
The application says: “The branch will be open to members of the public during business hours to place or collect orders.
“The branch counter will also host a minimal ancillary retail space for items such as PPE (High visibility jackets, safety helmets, steel toe cap boots), tape measures, duct tape.
“It should be noted that the retail element is not the primary focus of the business and is intended as impulse items for customers that are visiting the branch to collect or place an order for pipes.”
The business would open from 8am to 5pm.
A decision on the application is expected in early May.
