Pensioner dies after Essex crash which saw people cut from vehicles
An elderly man has died, two months after he was involved in a serious crashing in Epping. On January 30, at around 10am, police were called to the B1393 Epping Road near to the Wake Arms roundabout to reports of a collision involving two vehicles. The vehicles involved were a white Nissan Qashqai and a black Toyota Yaris. Alongside police officers, three ambulances and an ambulance officer attended the scene, as well as crews from the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
After checking for injuries among the drivers and passengers in the two cars, three people were rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further assessment after being trapped and having to be cut from their vehicles. Police are now appealing for information about the incident, and for anyone who witnessed the event to contact them.
