Phillip Schofield to miss ITV’s This Morning for weeks
Phillip Schofield is set to miss ITV show This Morning for a number weeks after already being absent all of this week. The presenter’s co-star Holly Willoughby has carried on without him while he’s been off.
Alison Hammond covered Monday and Tuesday’s shows while comedian Joel Dommett stepped in for Wednesday and Thursday. Now it has been confirmed Phillip will not be returning next week after the co-hosts’ usual Friday break, reports Liverpool Echo.
Instead Alison and Dermot O’Leary, who present the show on Fridays, will take over presenting duties from tomorrow as Holly and Phil take their scheduled Easter break. During an ad break on Thursday, ITV’s This Morning revealed Alison and Dermot will be replacing Holly and Phil for the two-week Easter break.

At the end of the show, Holly also confirmed that she would be off-screen for the break. Addressing Joel’s time on the show, she turned to him and said: “Well Joel Dommett, you have been amazing, have you enjoyed it?” He replied: “It has been an absolute dream. Thank you for showing me everything these last few days.”
Holly wrapped up the programme as she announced her break. She said: “I’m off for Easter. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks, bye!”
