Road closed after teenager hit by car in Chorley
A busy road has been closed after a car collided with a teenage boy.
Lancashire[1] Police were called at around 3.50pm to Spendmore Lane to reports of the collision. The teenager has been taken to hospital for treament
Spendmore Lane is currently closed at the junction with Regent Street, Ciancutt Lane and New Road Coppull. Traffic monitoring website Inrix says that traffic is coping well.
Chorley[2] Police have advised motorists to avoid the area.
A statement on Twitter[4] reads: “Good Afternoon, we have closed Spendmore Lane at the junction with Regent Street, Ciancutt Lane and New Road Coppull due to a road traffic collision. Please avoid the area and we will update once the road reopens.”
A Lancashire Police Spokesperson said: ” We were called around 3.50pm today to a collision in Spendmore Lane, Chorley. It was reported a car had collided with a teenage boy. The boy has been taken to hospital for treatment.”
Traffic monitoring website Inrix says: “Spendmore Lane in both directions closed due to accident from Regent Street to Clancutt Lane. Traffic is coping well.”
