Winchester police called to lorry stuck in Colebrook Street
Police were called to Colebrook Street on Tuesday, March 28 night, where a company lorry was stuck trying to get round the bend.
A photo was posted on the Facebook[1] group Winchester Rants.
Resident Rachael Jones-Evans commented: "In my road….I literally saw him coming. And thought ‘I don’t think so’.
"That was at approx 7pm. I was going to offer assistance, but some blokes then offered their assistance. Hence it taking more than three hours to rectify the situation."
"Bravo for not actually smashing any of our houses down."
The lorry, which was photographed again at about 11pm once it was free, belongs to GXO Logistics, an American global supply chain management business.
Hampshire Police has been contacted for more information.
