A379 crash: Motorbike rider who died in collision near Kingsbridge …

A motorbike rider who died following a crash near Kingsbridge[1] has been named. Brett Scott was travelling on the A379 when he was involved in the fatal two-vehicle collision[2] on Friday (April 14).

The 59-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which took place between Kingsbridge and Bantham Cross at around 2.20pm. Devon and Cornwall Police[3] officers attended and the road remained closed until 10.50pm.

Investigating officers are continuing to examine the circumstances of the collision. They are asking anyone with relevant information to get in touch.

Police said in a statement: "Police have named a man who died following a collision on the A379 on Friday 14 April. Brett Scott, 59, from Kingsbridge, (pictured) was pronounced deceased at the scene of the two-vehicle collision, which happened at around 2.20pm between Kingsbridge and Bantham Cross.

"Officers continue to make enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact police via our website here[5] or by calling 101, quoting log 0395 of 14/04/23."
