Clacton Esso petrol station crash hospitalises two people
A multi-vehicle crash at a Clacton petrol station this morning (April 24) has left two people hospitalised. The incident happened at the Esso garage on London Road were emergency services were called shortly before 9.15 am.
Essex Police (EP), East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST), Essex County Fire and Rescue (ECRS), and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) attended the scene following reports of the crash. The collision involved three cars on the forecourt of the station.
Paramedics reportedly assessed four people before rushing two to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment. Their conditions have not been confirmed.
Emergency services have released a statement about the incident. An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We received a call shortly before 9.15am on Monday 24 April to reports of a collision involving three vehicles at the Esso garage in London Road, Clacton.
“We attended alongside colleagues with the East of England Ambulance Service and Essex Fire and Rescue Service. Four patients were assessed at the scene and two required transportation to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.12am with reports that a collision involving three vehicles had occurred on the forecourt of a petrol station on the London Road in Clacton. Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
“Four patients were assessed at the scene and two required transportation by road to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
