A 38-year-old driver from Whitby is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash on Hwy. 401.
An SUV collided with a Canada Post delivery truck at the Markham Road exit on Hwy. 401 eastbound around 3 a.m. this morning (April 6), OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.
The male driver in the SUV was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries, said Schmidt. The man’s family has been notified.
There were no other occupants in the SUV.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Hwy. 401 eastbound collector lanes were expected to be closed at McCowan Road for several hours.
