Dramatic M1 scenes as horsebox overturns near Junction 14

The crash was first reported at around 5.25pm today (April 23).

Emergency services are dealing with the incident between Junction 14 and Junction 15.

Please avoid M1 northbound between Junctions 14-15 long delays due to an overturned LorryCurrently down to one lane please find an alternative route officers are on scene from police and highways #P6905^[1]

Traffic is filing through a single lane as lanes two, three and four are closed.

Highways England has warned drivers there is "approximately two miles of congestion on approach causing delays of up to 20 minutes above usual journey times."
