Fire crews have been tackling a huge blaze in Stockton after flames ripped through a disused building.
Cleveland Fire Brigade[1] was called to the incident on Wrensfield Road[2] at around 9.30pm on Sunday. Five fire engines arrived at the scene to tackle the blaze - with three appliances from Stockton and two from Thornaby[3].
Officers from Cleveland Police[4] were also in attendance and advised residents in the area to keep their windows closed to avoid smoke inhalation coming from the scene throughout the night. Witnesses in the surrounding area also reported a drop in water pressure while fire fighters used two jets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames tearing through the building.
Fire fighters remained on the scene until 7.45am on Monday, however the fire service confirmed crews would continue to monitor the area and the building throughout the day. There were no casualties confirmed following the incident.
