A girl has been found dead at the boarding school she attended.

The 16-year-old was found dead by police after they were called to Wycombe Abbey School – in High Wycombe, an hour outside London – just before midnight last Friday (April 21).

Her death isn’t being treated as suspicious, they said, though the cause of death remains undetermined.

Thames Valley Police said: “Thames Valley Police was called to the Wycombe Abbey School at around 11.40pm on Friday (21/4) after a 16-year-old girl was sadly found to have died.

“Her death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”

Wycombe Abbey is an independent school for girls aged between 11 and 18.

It was named the best independent school in the South East and third best in the country by The Sunday Times in 2022.[2]
