Huge M6 delays after crash between three cars, three vans and …
Police, firefighters and the air ambulance have been called out to a crash on the M6 – with the motorway set to shut in both directions. National Highways has confirmed the emergency services have been called to the scene on the southbound carriageway between junctions 17 for Sandbach and 16 for the A500 into Stoke-on-Trent.
National Highways said that initially two of three lanes were shut just before 10.25am. Since then traffic was stopped on the southbound carriageway to allow firefighters and paramedics to reach the scene of what has been described as a ‘multi-vehicle collision’.
In a further update National Highways says it is ‘mobilising units to close the motorway both ways’ with the air ambulance called to the incident.
