Lincoln man injured in collision with garbage truck
A Lincoln man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was removed from his vehicle with the Jaws of Life on Tuesday after it collided with the rear of a garbage truck in Gustin Township, the Alcona County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release on Friday.
The man was transported to MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena and later transferred to a hospital in Midland. He is in stable condition, according to the press release.
Alcona deputies responded to the scene of a crash just after 8 a.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Trask Lake and Lincoln Lake roads. An investigation revealed that a 33-year-old driver struck the rear of a garbage truck while traveling on Trask Lake Road and he was subsequently removed from his vehicle with the Jaws of Life.
