Live A14 traffic updates as crash involving lorry causes delays
The A14[1] in Suffolk was shut in both directions following a crash involving a lorry. Emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision, which happened near Bury St Edmunds[2] in the early hours of Tuesday morning (April 18).
The carriageway is fully closed between J42 and J43. One lane has since reopened but the second is due to remain shut for a while.
National Highways said on its website: “The A14 in Suffolk is closed in both directions between J42 and J43 near (Bury St Edmunds) due to a collision involving a lorry. Suffolk Police are in attendance. National Highways resources are also on scene.”
